RIMLIGHT – Das Beste aus zwei Welten

RIMLIGHT – THE BEST OF TWO WORLDS

One of the most effective ways for a photographer to create a high-quality and exciting setting for an object is to use light to accentuate the edges in such a way that a delicate, very light line of light is created around the object.
This delicate lightness gave our designers the impulse to create FLAIR RIMLIGHT. This collection inspires through particularly fine, thin and light frames and is as light as rimless glasses. The best of both worlds: FLAIR RIMLIGHT.

Glazing

There are different possibilities to glaze a FLAIR RIMLIGHT frame: You can use a Less Stress machine, der CNC machine or you can do it with help of a hand drill template. Here you can downloadan overview of the three above named techniques.

Special procedure when mounting the bridge!

The nylon thread is not routed over the bridge as usual, but around the pad arms, which rest directly on the acetate rim in these models.

Glazing with the
Less Stress machine

1.  Place lenses ground to a V-bevel into the acetate rings.

2. Then tighten them on the Less Stress worktop; the drilling position is indicated by the first drill hole in the acetate ring

3. Fasten the drill onto the acetate ring and set it to zero

4. Skip the first drill hole (2.15 mm), since the hole is already in the acetate ring

5. Now drill only the second and third holes (4.15 mm and 6.15 mm) into the lens

Glazing with the
CNC machine

1.  You can look up the drill coordinates for these models on our website (www.flair.de/partner-log-in, user name: frames, password: modelinfo)

2. The lenses must have a V-bevel, as for a regular plastic frame

Glazing with the
hand drill template

1. Place lenses ground to a V-bevel into the acetate ring

2. Glue the drill template onto the lens at the first drilled hole in the acetate ring

3. The edge of the template is on the acetate ring

4. The first drill hole is already drilled in the acetate ring; drill only the second and third holes into the lens
